The 1,541m² (16,587 sq. ft.) new development consisted of a beautiful experience space of wellness and recreation. The building included two indoor padel courts (the first indoor padel courts in Ireland), golf simulation room, 17m swimming pool with sauna and steam room as well as a fully equipped gymnasium and yoga / dancing / focus studio.
This project has currently won "Building of the Year 2022", an RIAI Architecture Award 2021 and an Irish Construction Excellence Award 2022. The project has also been published in many physical & digital magazines and will be published in a few upcoming books.
The environmental challenge for a pool area. Incorporating multiple specialist designers and packages into the one project on an extremely tight programme.
A collaborative success in achieving a high quality finish, with a focus on renewable and sustainable technologies for a challenging project.
M&E design incorporating primary ventilation supplemented by a VRF design, automated façade for natural ventilation within the Padel courts and a specialist LED lighting scheme throughout. A focus on the use of renewable technology with air source heat pumps being utilised for heating and hot water.
